See a payment split its own VAT

In the pilot, VAT splits off to the tax authority at the moment of payment, the rest goes to the business. No separate filing, because the proof sits inside the transaction itself.

The one-minute video below shows the full chain built with the Netherlands Tax Administration in an R&D setting: a self-checkout rings up a purchase, the buyer pays through a banking app by scanning a QR code, and a real-time monitor shows the VAT share arriving as verifiable proof the instant the payment settles.

The interactive demo environment walks through the same flow at your own pace.

Common questions

What does the demo show?
A working prototype of real-time VAT. Every step you see is real software processing a real event stream. The checkout, the payment and the monitor run on the same architecture described on the architecture page.
Is this real money and a real tax payment?
No. The demo runs in a test environment with simulated funds. The point is the mechanism: the split, the proof and the real-time view, not the amounts.
Can I integrate this with my point of sale today?
Not yet. The VAT application is at pilot stage, developed and tested with the Netherlands Tax Administration in an R&D setting. Every following phase has its own go or no-go decision. If you want to explore what a pilot in your domain could look like, get in touch.

Where this fits

The demo shows one application, VAT, of a foundation that carries more domains. See the domains overview for gambling tax, cross-border and other applications, or read how the architecture works.
